Culver City (Calif.) receiver Alex Jackson
is set for his first official visit this weekend, to Iowa State
, but the 5-10, 180-pounder is just barely getting in to his recruitment.
"I set up an official visit to Iowa State for this weekend against Texas and then an official visit to San Diego State," said Jackson.
Jackson has offers from the Aztecs and Cyclones as well as from Colorado, Arizona State, Kansas State and Oregon State.
"I've talked to a couple of other schools that want to see how my season goes, like Oregon and Purdue and I've started to talk to UCLA a little bit. They're a close, good program," said Jackson.
Because new schools check in with him frequently, Jackson isn't wanting to trim a list down at all.
"I don't have a top five because I'm waiting to talk to some more coaches," said Jackson. "You can put the two schools I'm visiting as ones I'm serious about, but I won't narrow anything down for a while."
And Jackson doesn't anticipate a decision coming soon.
"I'm not going to decide before I've taken my five trips," said Jackson. "When I take my five visits, then I'll decide."
Through the first three games, Jackson has 14 catches for 280 yards and five touchdowns.
