OL Prospect Brian Abraham

Brian Abraham from Rancho Cucamonga is shaping up into one of the best offensive line prospects in the west. He visited a UCLA spring practice, and the Bruins are high on his list...

Brian Abraham, 6-6, 260, Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) High, is one of the West's top linemen, and he is getting plenty of love from the Pac-10 schools.

"I am hearing from the whole Pac-10 and Notre Dame as well," said Abraham. "I have quite a few schools talking with me."

While a pretty tall linemen, Abraham has the body to put on quite a bit of bulk and still be an effective tackle, thanks to pretty solid footwork. "I prefer to play offensive tackle, that's what I play now, and where I want to play in college."

His top five right now consists of Stanford, UCLA, USC, Washington and Oregon, but no school stands in front, yet. He said, "I like all of those schools. They are all really good, the best in the Pac-10."

While Washington was his childhood favorite, Abraham also talked about UCLA. "Coach Bieniemy is recruiting me, and so is Coach Weber. And I have met Coach Dorrell, he is pretty cool. I met him at a Spring Practice."

Abraham is in no hurry to make a decision, though, wanting to take his time. "I want to soak it all up, enjoy the recruiting and make my decision after I have weighed all my options. When I'm ready, I'll make a decision." This summer, Abraham plans to attend the UCLA and Stanford camps.

He has a 3.2 GPA, scored well enough on his SAT and is fully qualified.
