Voeller was offered by Washington in the spring, but the UCLA offer he received earlier this week and was a bit of a surprise.
"I have been getting letters and information from UCLA for a while," said Voeller. "We weren't really sure, so today my mom gave Coach Neuheisel a call to confirm and he said that I have one."
West Linn is the alma mater where Bruin great Cade McNown played.
The Bruins aren't the only program showing interest in the junior. Voeller has started hearing from some of the top schools in the country.
Voeller took his first unofficial visit this past weekend and talked about the other programs he may try and visit this fall.
"Last Saturday I was at the Oregon/Arizona State game. I had a good time," said Voeller. "I might go to a Stanford and Washington game this year."
The Oregon program is familiar to the Voeller's. Evan's older brother, Dallen Voeller, is a member of the football team.
"My brother is a walk-on tight end," said Voeller. "Having him there makes Oregon a little higher on my list."
Voeller is enjoying the recruiting process, but has his focus on finishing his high school season.
"We are 6-1 right now and have a big game this weekend against Lake Oswego (Ore.) to decide the league championship," said Voeller. "I feel like this year is going well, we run the ball at lot more than we did last year."
