"It was my first visit and everything I was looking for in a school was right there," said Buckner.
Buckner was hosted by fellow Hawaiian Koa'a Kai and also spent a lot of time with Oregon defensive line coach Jerry Azzinaro.
"Coach Azz was who I talked to the most and he and Coach (Chip) Kelly are going to come out this week," said Buckner.
Buckner said the campus wowed him, as did the facilities.
"The facilities and the campus were nice," said Buckner. "They have all those nice facilities for the guys to get better and stronger. And what I like the most is they have the stuff to prevent injuries. That's important."
And Buckner also liked the academic support Oregon offers.
"The academic center was really nice," said Buckner. "They get a lot of academic support and every class you take, they have a tutor for each class so you can be really learn."
Buckner said the trip was what he had hoped it would be.
"Overall, it was a real good trip," said Buckner.
Buckner will visit Cal next weekend and then in January, visit three more Pac-12 schools.
"They really want me to come to UCLA but I just have to go somewhere that fits me the best," said Buckner.
And right now, the Ducks are in prime position.
"I would say they're my leader," said Buckner.
Buckner has been selected to the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl and will be in Phoenix next month for it.
