Cyburt Enjoys his Visit

Mission Viejo offensive lineman Colby Cyburt, who boasts offers from most of the Pac-12, had a great visit to UCLA this weekend.

"It was an awesome visit," Cyburt said. "Really planned out well. I had a blast."

Cyburt said that the visitors toured campus, met with academic advisors and strength and conditioning coaches, and also went out to the Rose Bowl. The three star offensive lineman was hosted on his visit by Jeff Baca.

"We also went to a few nice dinners and lunches, and then went out with the guys on the team both nights and kind of saw the night life on campus."

Cyburt also met one on one with coach Mora and coach Klemm over the weekend, and came away from both meetings impressed.

Although he didn't commit to UCLA on the visit, he did say that UCLA certainly solidified itself in his top two.

"(UCLA's) definitely, I don't want to say the front runner, but they're definitely going to be at the top. Especially after that visit. There's so many things I like about UCLA, and that visit just brought it out even more.

"My front runners right now are Stanford and UCLA."

Cyburt said he doesn't expect to make a decision at least until after the Stanford visit, and probably not until he's done with all of his visits (he visits Colorado after Stanford, and possibly either Oregon State or Washington after that). Cyburt hasn't yet been granted admission to Stanford, and until that happens, he can't really make a full decision about where he's going to go.

"I've got to know if I'm accepted or not before I can even know they're in the mix. When I'm accepted, I'll just need to weigh what I experience next weekend, and with Colorado, with what I experienced this weekend and see what's best for me."
