Moreau Meets with Mazzone

Davie (Fl.) Western running back Fabian Moreau took his first trip out to UCLA this past weekend, and came away impressed by what he saw.

"UCLA's a great school," Moreau said. "The new coaching staff is great. (If I went there) I'd get a top notch education. The school has a great environment, and overall it just a really good trip."

Moreau, who is planning on taking at least another visit before he makes a commitment, has UCLA as one of his top schools heading down into the final weeks before signing day after a visit where he got to meet the new coaching staff.

"Probably the highlight for me was just talking with the coaching staff," Moreau said. "Just meeting with coach Mazzone and Jim Mora, who's got so much history as a coach. They're both fantastic coaches, and it was a really good opportunity to meet them."

Moreau was particularly effusive about meeting with Mazzone, who talked with Moreau about how the Bruins might potentially use him in his offense.

"I loved what coach Mazzone did at ASU," Moreau said. "It's a great offense (that he runs), because it gets people in space and allows them to create, which is a great way to score points. It'd be a really good fit for me."

Moreau, who was hosted by Aramide Olaniyan on the trip, is not sure yet when he'll make a decision on a school.

"I still have to take another visit," Moreau said. "I'm not sure yet where that'll be. I have to decide between Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.

"(Once that's done) I'll need to talk to my family and evaluate all of my options. It could take until signing day, but I'm hoping I'll be able to make it before then."
