Fairbarn Looks at Two Programs

Honolulu (Haw.) Punahou kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn, who is verbally committed to UCLA, has narrowed his college decision down to Cal and UCLA...

Honolulu (Haw.) Punahou kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn took an official visit to UCLA this weekend and came away impressed.

"It was nice, got to visit the school," said Fairbairn. "I got to meet the new the new staff. It was a good fact finding trip."

"They let us see the dorms, we got to see the Rose Bowl," said Fairbairn. "I got to see the players and see what they thought about the coaches. Seeing how the new staff has affected everyone, that was big for me."

Fairbairn has been considered a UCLA commit for some time, but the kicker is now torn between two Pac-12 programs.

I am going to make my final decision this week between California and UCLA," said Fairbairn.

So what criteria will Fairnbairn use to decide?

"I have narrowed it down to the two best academic schools," said Fairbarin. "The coaching staff and then the athletics will decide the rest. Also how the players treat each other."
