"The visit to UCLA was awesome," said Taubler. "I toured the campus, checked out the facilities, visited the Rose Bowl, had meetings with the coaches, and hung out with all the guys."
Taubler committed to UCLA over the summer, when Rick Neuheisel was in charge.
When Neuheisel was let go at the end of November, Taubler felt he had to start evaluating some of his other options.
"I was considering Washington, but after this weekend I am 100% a Bruin," said Taubler. "I wanted to get to know Jim Mora and the new coaching staff better on my visit, which is exactly what happened. I walked away from my official feeling confident about the coaching staff and my commitment to UCLA."
Taubler discussed his impression of the Bruins new staff.
"I really like the new coaching staff a lot and also where the program is headed," explained Taubler. "Coach Mora seems like he is really on his game. He is ready to win and isn't going to take crap from anybody."
"I am excited to get in there and get some wins for him."
Over the weekend, Taubler also had a chance to get to know his new position coach, Marques Tuiasosopo.
"Coach Tuiasosopo is a great guy. I know I can learn a lot from him and he can help me make it to the next level," said Taubler.
Taubler says he couldn't be happier about his experience this weekend, because attending UCLA has been his goal all along.
"I have always wanted to go to UCLA. It has been my dream school, so the fact that I also get to go there an play football is even better," proclaimed Taubler.
Although Taubler says he is fully committed to the Bruins, he will announce his final decision on Feb. 2nd.
"We usually have a Signing Day Ceremony at my school, where we announce our decision," said Taubler. "I may have another hat on the table just to keep things interesting."
