Goodman had been to USC games in the past, but this was his first real opportunity to check out the school.
"I'd been there for a couple of games, but this was my first time seeing the campus," said Goodman. "I liked it a lot. I got to see a part of USC that I'd never seen and it was great."
Goodman said he talked at length with assistant coach James Cregg and also chatted briefly with defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin and got a better idea of where he stands with the Trojans.
"It seemed like they wanted to offer me, but they didn't yet and they just want to get to know me more and have me go to one of their camps, so I'm planning on doing that," said Goodman.
Next weekend, Goodman will be at Cal's Junior Day and then he'll be at UCLA in two weeks for the Bruins' Junior Day.
Yet it's an out-of-state program that is starting to make an impression on him.
"I'm really liking Texas A&M a lot," said Goodman. "I have family out there and my grandparents are there and I really like Texas A&M a lot right now. I think they could be offering me really soon. They have some new coaches there who like me."
Goodman said he's not in any kind of rush to make a decision.
"I want to take my time and go through it the right way," said Goodman.
