Bruins Newest Offer for Owusu

The Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian receiver, Francis Owusu, gets his most recent offer from UCLA...

Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian receiver Francis Owusu picked up his fifth offer on Wednesday, and third from the Pac-12.

"UCLA offered me today," said Owusu.

The Bruins follow Oregon State, Stanford, Wisconsin and Vanderbilt in offering Owusu.

And UCLA has had some good success at Oaks in the past few years, signing Jordan Payton and Ishmael Adams earlier this month and Cassius Marsh and Malcolm Jones two years ago.

Owusu said Adams and Payton talked with him about the Bruins' offer.

"They both told me congratulations on getting the offer," said Owusu.

Owusu said it was an offer he was happy to get.

"I'm very excited about it, they are definitely one of my top schools of choice," said Owusu. "I'm going to be up at UCLA on Sunday for Junior Day."

Last fall, playing opposite Payton, Owusu had 35 receptions for 705 yards and eight touchdowns as a 2011 junior at Oaks Christian.
