Georgia Back Commits to UCLA

McDonough (Ga.) Eagles Landing Christian Academy running back Keyante Green made his mind up on Tuesday and he decided on Wednesday to make his decision public...

"I have committed to UCLA," Keyante Green told Scout. "I actually made my mind up last night (Tuesday) and I decided to let it out there tonight."

Green was just offered by the Bruins recently, and although he has not yet visited the UCLA campus, he felt he was ready to make his decision.

"I really like Jim Mora and he is the main reason I chose UCLA. He has a lot of coaching experience, he has been in the NFL, and he knows what he is doing. I wanted to play for a proven coach and he is exactly what I was looking for."

Another 2013 UCLA commitment, Eddie Printz, is also from Georgia, he put Green in touch with the Bruins.

"I won't say Eddie Printz recruited me too hard, but he gave me their number and that phone call I made to them led to me getting the offer. It is cool to know Eddie and I may go out there and visit UCLA with him."

The 5-foot-10, 194-pound running back out of Eagles Landing Christian Academy still plans to visit other schools, but he feels good about his decision.

"It just feels right," he said. "I thought about keeping my decision quiet for a while, but I was ready to let it out. I will still look around and see what places are like, but I am committed to UCLA."

Green had scholarship offers from Georgia, Florida State, Ohio State, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and more.
