Johnson Talks on UCLA's Junior Day

The Fresno (Calif.) Central cornerback, Johnny Johnson, hit his third straight in-state Junior Day this weekend...

For the third straight weekend, Fresno (Calif.) Central cornerback Johnny Johnson was at an in-state Junior Day.

Last weekend, Johnson was at California and the weekend before, he was at USC. On Sunday, Johnson, along with teammates L.J. Moore and Hatari Byrd, was at UCLA for the Bruins Junior Day.

And the trip to Westwood left a favorable impression on Johnson.

"It was good at UCLA, I really enjoyed meeting the coaches and seeing the new things they are doing there," said Johnson.

Johnson said a couple of things were notable to him.

"What stood out most was the family atmosphere that was demonstrated and the vibe I got from the defensive backs coach, Demetrice Martin," said Johnson.

"I like Coach Martin a lot," said Johnson. "I love his energy and enthusiasm."

And Johnson also was impressed by head coach Jim Mora.

"Coach Mora is a fiery type of guy that I could see myself playing for," said Johnson. "He's a DB guy and there are not many head coaches that love DBs.

Johnson said while he likes UCLA, he's wide open at this point.

"I don't really have a list," said Johnson. "The teams on my list are the ones that have offered me. I am very open right now and just feeling everything out. I'm going to take my time."
