Arnold Still Waiting on Offers

Encino (Calif.) Crespi safety Brandon Arnold had a nice trip to UCLA on Sunday, but is still waiting on getting his first offer...

Count Encino (Calif.) Crespi safety Brandon Arnold among those who were very impressed by UCLA's new coaching staff during Junior Day on Sunday.

"What stood out for me was just how good the coaching staff is," Arnold said. "Coach Mora is obviously a great coach. He's already done a lot of great things for the program since he's been there. I got to spend a little bit of one on one time with him and Coach Martin. It was just great spending some time with the coaching staff."

Although he didn't get a UCLA offer over the weekend, and is still holding out for his first offer, Arnold is getting interest from a number of schools who want him to attend their Junior Days. Arnold already attended USC's Junior Day.

"I talked to the Oregon State coach the other day and he said he wants me to come up there," Arnold said. "And I talked to the Oregon coach and he said he wants me to come up for a Junior Day also."

The safety also said he expects an offer from the University of Washington soon.

With only USC and UCLA to compare at this point, he said that he found the visits to be pleasantly similar.

"They were both a lot o fun," Arnold said. "I got to check out the campuses and also spend a lot of time with the coaching staff and get to know them a little bit better."

Arnold had actually been on campus at UCLA a couple of times before, but he enjoyed soaking it in in a more organized fashion.

In terms of other visits, Arnold is already looking ahead to taking a few unofficial visits, and his dream school, Oregon, is among them.

"I actually want to do a couple of unofficial visits pretty soon," Arnold said. "Probably one to Oregon, and then I'm thinking maybe a trip to Oklahoma."
