UCLA Moves Up for Stringfellow

After not originally planning to attend UCLA's junior Day on Sunday, Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde wide out Demorea Stringfellow made it to campus and said he's glad he did...

Demorea Stringfellow is one of the elite ‘big' receivers in the region. He's a physical kid with excellent body control and his stock should really rise when schools are able to see him face to face on campus in the spring.

"Man, I loved it there," Stringfellow said. "I had a real nice time, it was much better than I expected. I've only been to UCLA once before and I only saw the football fields, I was there for a 7 on 7 and didn't actually see the campus.

"That's the nicest campus I've ever seen and it's just a beautiful place there. I talked a lot with Coach Mora and then coach Yarber when we broke up for some position meetings. I also met Coach Broussard because he recruits my area and I liked all those guys a lot. They were all really cool, I was comfortable with all of them and I'm planning to visit another time and hopefully get even more comfortable with those guys."

Stringfellow said he noticed a definite change in the new Bruin staff.

"They want toughness," Stringfellow said. "They told me they like me because I'm a big, physical receiver and Coach Mora said you have to be tough to play for him. It's funny, I didn't even hear about the Junior Day until late last week when my coach told me about it and I wasn't going to go but UCLA definitely moved up my list.

"I went to USC's Junior Day too but those are the only schools I have visited so I can't really name leaders yet. Since UCLA has offered me and the coaches are really recruiting me hard, you could say they're at the top for me right now. I'm going to Arizona State's Junior Day in April and hopefully I'll be able to check out a few more schools as well."
