Bruno Has Bruin Blood

Oak Park (Calif.) defensive tackle Luca Bruno (6-3.5, 280), is sitting on a pair of offers, one from an in-state school and one from a Pac-12 school.

"Arizona and San Diego State have already offered me," said Bruno.

And Bruno thinks that as spring progresses, more could be on their way.

"Arizona State, USC and Nevada are all interested in me and UCLA is too," said Bruno. "My dad played at UCLA so I always grew up watching them, and I'll be going there for some practices and I knew Sean Westgate too, he was from Oak Park."

Bruno's father, Frank, was a fullback for the Bruins in the early 1980's, including their Rose Bowl team in 1982.

But as Bruno's grown up as a football player, he's looking at a number of schools and is wide open to everyone.

"USC, San Diego State and Arizona are all schools that I'm probably going to camp at," said Bruno. "I'm really open to everyone."

Bruno said he also plans to camp a few more places.

"I'm going to the Nike Sparq Combine, the NUC Combine and an OL/DL camp," said Bruno.

Bruno said he's not planning to make an early decision.

"I'm probably going to take it through my senior year and see what comes about from then," said Bruno.

Bruno said he's looking at a number of things in a prospective college.

"I'm looking for a good atmosphere on campus and I'm big on training so somewhere where I can stay in the best shape," said Bruno. "I want to go somewhere where the coach runs a good program."

Last fall, Bruno had 133 tackles, six sacks and forced four fumbles.

Brandon is in his eighth year with and FOXSportsNext, currently as a National Recruiting Analyst and West Regional Manager. Prior to joining the Scout Recruiting Team, he was a team recruiting writer.  He's been covering recruiting for the Scout Network since 2003.
