Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) outside linebacker Alani Latu (6-2, 215), teams with his twin brother, Viliami, to form one of the better linebacker tandems in the West.

And with Chris Hawkins and Tahaan Goodman behind them in the secondary, Rancho Cucamonga has had one of the best defenses in the Southland the past two seasons.

Alani Latu has four offers and a few more could be coming soon.

"I have offers from Colorado, Hawaii, Washington State and Oregon State and I like Arizona State, Arizona, UCLA and USC," said Latu.

Latu and his brother both have an offer from Hawaii, which could give the Warriors an early edge, since their desire to is to play with each other in college.

"We're trying to play together in college so we can make it easier for our parents, so they don't have to be going places," said Latu.

Latu said that the two Southern California schools are ones he grew up watching.

"I've always liked USC and UCLA, and liked the rivalry between them," said Latu. "Both those schools would be good ones to play at."

Alani plays outside while Viliami plays inside, and Alani said that's where he plans to stay in college.

"All of my offers are as an outside linebacker and I definitely want to play there," said Latu.

Latu isn't in any kind of rush to make a decision.

"I want to go through the whole recruiting process," said Latu. "I know it's early still in my junior year, so I want to take some visits before I decide."

Last fall, Latu had 70 tackles, a sack and an interception in helping the Cougars reach the CIF-SS Inland Division semifinals.
