Bruins Watching Cameron Walker

The Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola cornerback, Cameron Walker, will take a big unofficial visit next month to one of his top schools...

Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola cornerback Cameron Walker (5-11, 175), has a trio of offers and as the evaluation period inches closer, Walker is hopeful that will increase.

"Oregon State was the last to offer me a couple of weeks ago, and I had offers from Michigan and San Diego State," said Walker.

Walker said that he's planning to visit San Diego State in the next couple of weeks unofficially and is also planning to see Michigan during his spring break.

"I talked to Coach (Dan) Ferrigno about coming out there to Michigan on spring break," said Walker. "It looks like I'll be going out there from April 12-14. I'm excited and looking forward to that."

Walker went to Junior Days at USC and UCLA and said both schools continue to keep in contact and Oregon is also picking up the interest.

"(Oregon assistant) Coach (John) Neal said he'd be coming by the school during the eval period to watch me and they're looking to offer a few corners so they want to come and see me. They just want to do a background check on me and then see me practice and then they could be offering," said Walker.

Boise State, which has two former Cubs defensive backs, Lee Hightower and Chaz Anderson in the mix, is also showing more interest in Walker.

"The coaches from Boise State were asking Lee about me and they came and saw me last year when they came to see Chaz so they could be close too," said Walker.

Walker said he's planning to camp at both USC and UCLA this summer.

"I'm going to probably go to both of their camps and we'll see what happens then," said Walker.

Walker also plans to camp at the Los Angeles NFTC next month.

Academically he's set to take the SAT in May and the ACT in June.

Last fall, Walker had 43 tackles, seven pass breakups, 2.5 sacks and two interceptions, teaming opposite Anderson.
