Alabama Running Back Likes Three

Bo Scarborough, the running back from Tuscaloosa-Northridge, Ala., is working hard to return to full speed before his spring practice. The injury has not stopped schools from coast-to-coast in offering this playmaker. He talked about the latest news and updated favorites...

"UCLA and Clemson have recently offered me," said Bo Scarborough. "Clemson offered me the week we got out for spring break. The offers are good. I like them.

"I have five offers right now. I have three offers I really like. I like Alabama, UCLA and Clemson. Those are the schools standing out to me right now."

Scarborough shared his interest in the two out-of-state programs.

"UCLA is a pretty good school," he said. "If I go there I feel like they will run the ball a lot more.

"Clemson used to be a running team. They just went to the spread. I feel like if I went there they could become more of a running team again."

Alabama has been considered the early favorite with the local school a strong selling point.

"I am going to attend Alabama's spring game," Scarborough said. "I think they are the ones who are toughest on me right now. They are coming after me very strong.

"I like everything about Alabama from the academics with the 36 players on the academic honor roll to the football program. They just won the national championship. Staying close to home has been the main thing on my mind lately."

Scarborough is the early leader for the state's top prospect in the class of 2014 with the help of a full recovery from his ACL injury last season. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound phenom projects as one of the top overall prospects in the country.

"Everything is good right now with my knee," he said. "I am just trying to get back to 100-percent. I would say I am about 85-90-percent right now."
