Three on Top for Ross

Long Beach Jordan (Calif.) wide out John Ross is one of the elite athletes in the West Region and had a very good showing at the New Level 7 on 7 in Las Vegas recently...

John Ross is a standout player on both sides of the ball but worked out solely at receiver in Vegas. He's an explosive athlete and showed very good hands throughout the tournament.

"Recruiting is going pretty good right now," Ross said. "Utah State was my latest offer and I also have UCLA, Washington, San Diego State, Cincinnati, Colorado and Colorado State. I would love to hear more from some of the SEC schools like LSU, Alabama and Florida and would also like to visit there if I could.

"I'm going to camp with UCLA and maybe Oregon too. My plan is to weigh all my options and really take my time with the recruiting process. I want to get to know the schools better and also get to know the coaches as well as I can before I make my decision."

Ross said three schools currently stand out to him.

"I really like UCLA, Washington and Cincinnati," Ross said. "They're recruiting me the hardest and definitely seem most interested. I'm still open to other schools though and I'm not ready to close any doors just yet. Like I said, I'm taking my time and then I'll make a commitment when I'm ready."
