Bruins Watching Price Closely

The Long Beach (Calif.) Poly safety, David Price, is hoping a UCLA offer is right around the corner...

Long Beach (Calif.) Poly safety David Price still sits on one offer, but he thinks an in-state one could be coming close.

"I was at San Diego State this week and it went good, I had a nice time," said Price. "They said they would be coming to my school this month so hopefully I get one then."

Price had an offer from SMU since prior to his junior season, and hopes that even more materialize in the spring, including from one up the road.

"UCLA could be close from what I've been hearing," said Price. "Coach (Adrian) Klemm offered me when he was at SMU, but now Coach Meat (Demetrice Martin) is recruiting me. And I know Randall Goforth is putting in a good word for me. I went to UCLA's Junior Day and they were giving me good feedback."

Price also likes a number of other Pac-12 schools and is hearing from some Ivy League schools.

"I've got most of the Pac-12 schools looking at me and then Harvard and Yale," said Price. "My top five right now is USC, Oregon, Cal, UCLA and Miami."

Price doesn't want to rush into a decision.

"I'm kind of open-minded on when I want to decide," said Price. "I'd like to narrow it down my senior year and take my official visits. I want to make sure I've got the right school and I want to wait until Signing Day to announce and to keep people on their heels."
