Redmond Officially Blowing Up

Los Alamitos (Calif.) offensive lineman Alex Redmond has seen his stock explode since his dominant showing at the recent SoCal NIKE Camp. The talented guard prospect picked up two more offers on Monday...

Alex Redmond has gone from under the radar prospect to landing four scholarship offers in the last few weeks. Colorado was first to jump on board and Washington State soon followed suit.

"I just got offered by Washington and San Diego State," Redmond said. "I'm so thankful for all this, it's amazing what a one day camp can do you. God has blessed me, that's all I can say, I'm so blessed right now."

Redmond said he's hoping to check out both schools later this month.

"I'm driving down to San Diego State this weekend with my parents," Redmond said. "That's an easy drive for us so I'm looking forward to getting down there and meeting the coaches in person and seeing the campus.

"Washington wants me to come up for their Junior Day April 28 and I'm going to try and do that as well. My parents are looking in to flights right now and I'm really hoping to get out there because I had a great conversation with the coaches and they sound like great guys."

Redmond visited UCLA last week and will camp with USC in the summer.

"I went to UCLA last Thursday and it was pretty cool," Redmond said. "I was hoping they would offer but they just invited me to their camp. It's the same day as the USC camp and I've already paid for the USC one so I don't think I'll be able to do that one.

"Right now, I'm open to everyone and excited about how things are going. I'm being patient and just seeing who else will offer and then will weigh out my options later in the year."
