"This was my first practice of the spring and I liked it a lot," Ross said. "I saw them play last year and the tempo was a lot different. There was a lot of intensity and everyone was fired up. It was really cool to be there and experience a college level practice to see what the next level will be like.
"I was watching the receivers pretty closely and they don't have a lot of depth there right now. Most of the incoming freshmen aren't enrolled yet and I know when they get there, they'll add some depth to the position but right now, they don't have a lot of body's."
Ross said he also enjoyed talking with the coaches before and after practice.
"I talked to just about everyone there," Ross said. "I talked a lot with Coach Yarber, the receiver coach and he's a good guy. UCLA is definitely high on my list right now but I don't want to make a decision yet, I want to take my time and play things out.
"I've gotten calls this week from California, Purdue and Oregon State. Purdue offered and Oregon State offered a while ago. Cal hasn't offered yet but I hope they do. I have a lot of interest in them and I know what a great school it is. I want to check out a few more schools but I'm not sure where yet."
