Offer Makes Allensworth Think

Menifee (Calif.) Heritage athlete Darius Allensworth committed to Arizona a few weeks ago but his most recent offer is one that has him thinking a little...

Darius Allensworth plays on both sides of the ball and committed to the Wildcats as a cornerback. He took an unofficial visit to Tucson and committed while on campus and looked very solid in his decision.

"I just got offered by UCLA," Allensworth said. "I talked with Coach Broussard and Mora this morning and I have a lot of interest in them. UCLA is the local school and I've visited before and really like it there.

"They were showing a little bit of interest before I committed but I was still surprised by the offer. They said they like me as an athlete and I could end up at receiver or corner so we'll see what happens."

As for his commitment to UA, Allensworth said he's still solid with the Cats.

"I like what Arizona has to offer," Allensworth said. "It's a great school and I loved the visit there. This offer definitely gives me something to think about but I still like Arizona a lot. I'm going to visit UCLA again and check things out there and like I said, we'll see how it goes."

As a junior, Allensworth caught 30 balls for 395 yards and five touchdowns to go with 64 tackles and four interceptions from his corner position.
