Voeller Has a Top Six

West Linn (Ore.) offensive tackle Evan Voeller has become one of the most sought after prospects in the West. Voeller holds offers from twelve big time programs and recently headed south to see some first hand. He talked about what stood out.

"Stanford… Just get a great education down there," said Voeller. "I like the coaches. The campus is a nice. It's a nice place to live."

"UCLA… Nice too, the campus is right in LA," said Voeller. "Also, they really seem like they are going to turn things around down there."

Voeller isn't done yet, with another unofficial trip planned this coming weekend.

"This weekend I am going to the Washington Junior Day," said Voeller.

The Huskies appear to be doing well with the junior, not only earning an unofficial visit, but Voeller singled them out as the program that is recruiting the hardest and he thinks wants him the most.

"I guess Washington," said Voeller. "They would be the school."

Voeller is taking his time with the recruiting process, but would like to have a decision sooner rather than later if everthing works out.

"I think I'd like to make a decision before my senior season," said Voeller. "But if I'm not ready then I can take some official visits."

So has Voeller started to rank or separate the programs on his list?

"It's pretty even," said Voeller. "I visited California, Stanford, Oregon, UCLA and Washington... that was kind of my top 5. But Nebraska offered and they are up there too."
