OL Brian Abraham Makes Decision

Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) offensive lineman Brian Abraham wasn't planning to make an early decision but after getting an offer from UCLA, the talented lineman decided to jump on it...

"I committed to UCLA right after their camp," Brian Abraham said. "I wasn't planning to commit early but I really felt comfortable at UCLA. I was their for four days and loved Coach Weber and the rest of the staff. I really believe the staff will turn things around there, there's a different feeling about the school now." Abraham took a couple of unofficial visits to Stanford and USC and had an offer from childhood favorite, Notre Dame but distance was a factor.

"I wanted to stay close to home," Abraham said. "Growing up, Notre Dame was my school and I was excited when they offered but I'm a California kind of a guy. Oregon State and Arizona were my other offers and I liked USC and Stanford too but UCLA was where I wanted to be and that's why I decided to commit as soon as they offered. I'm not going to take any more visits except the one to UCLA. I'm just really excited right now and I'm glad to have the decision out of the way early."

Abraham had a solid showing at the SoCal Nike Camp and actually reminds us a lot of USC signee Tavis Draper from a year ago. At 6-6, 247 pounds, Abraham is tall, lean and athletic with very quick feet. He clocked a 5.25 in the 40, 4.78 in the shuttle and jumped 25 inches in the vertical at the camp.
