Most of the schools are from the Pac-12 as well as a national program coming out.
Vallejo has visited a handful of schools already and would like to visit a few more.
"I've been to Fresno State and Nevada and I went down to UCLA the day of their first spring practice," said Vallejo. "We had to hit the road before they really got going but I got to see the facilities. They're another school I think could offer soon, I talk to Coach (Angus) McClure every week."
Vallejo said that all the interest in him is coming as inside.
"Mostly every school is recruiting me as an inside linebacker," said Vallejo. "I know Colorado talked to me about it and Arizona did too about strictly being a middle linebacker."
A few schools have already been by the Nevada Union campus.
"Fresno State, Coach (Brian) Cabral from Colorado and BYU have already come by," said Vallejo.
Vallejo said he's still hoping to visit two more Pac-12 schools before summer.
"I'm trying to set up trips to Arizona and Colorado," said Vallejo. "And I'd like to check out Oregon. Alabama and Oregon are two schools I'd love to go to and I'd definitely like to see some SEC schools recruit me more."
Last fall, Vallejo had 150 tackles, five forced fumbles, three interceptions and three sacks.
He'll be at the Oakland NFTC next month.
Academically, Vallejo has a 3.3 GPA and will take the SAT this Saturday.
