Greer participated in UCLA's 4-day camp and was among the top linebackers in attendance. He's is all of 6-2 and 225, moves well for his size, and shows good instincts and aggressiveness.
He doesn't have any scholarship offers yet, but there are schools showing him interest. "UCLA, USC, Oregon, Arizona State, Colorado and Nevada have shown interest so far," Greer said. "I'm probably hearing from Colorado the most."
Greer said he's fine without having received an offer, and that he's looking forward to the season and showing the schools recruiting him why he's worthy of one. "I had a pretty good junior year, but I'm really looking forward to my senior year. I'd like to wait until after my season to make a decision anyway, so it will work out fine."
Greer said his favorite schools would be the ones he's hearing from, but his #1 school would be UCLA. "My sister went there," he said. "She graduated in 1997. So, I'm pretty familiar with the school. I even helped her move into the dorms. So, I've been a UCLA fan for a long time, and I'd be very happy if I went there."
During the 4-day camp, Greer said the UCLA coaches made some encouraging comments to him. "They told me they liked me," he said. "And they said that they opportunity to coach me and work with me. I took that as a good sign."
Greer said he maintains a 3.7 GPA and took the SAT for the first time in June.
