Another Strong Tourney for Holiday

San Marcos (Calif.) Mission Hills defensive back Devin Holiday can often be overlooked while playing in B2G Five Star's loaded secondary. At the Passing Down SoCal Regional Championship on Sunday, Holiday might have been the team's top defensive player and should be mentioned among the top corners in the state...

Devin Holiday has had a strong spring and is making huge strides since we first saw him in Vegas back in March. He always had the physical tools boasting good size and excellent speed and as his confidence has grown, his game has taken off.

"I'm just more comfortable now," Holiday said. "A lot of that comes from having better technique. I've been working really hard to improve in that area and right now, I'm confident and feel like no one can beat me."

On the recruiting front, Holiday has offers from Hawaii and Arizona and will visit the Wildcats later this week.

"I'm taking a visit on Friday," Holiday said. "I'm looking forward to seeing the campus and meeting the coaches. They want to show me around and show me the building plan for the new facilities, which would be done by the time I got there if I chose to go there.

"I'm also hearing a lot from Boise State, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Cincinnati and Cincinnati seems really interested and could offer soon. In the summer, I'm going to camp with UCLA and USC and I might visit Arizona State too. The main factors for me in picking a school are early playing time and the academics. I want to major in Kinesiology so that will play a role for sure."
