A slew of Pac-12 schools have stopped by Loyola this spring and have opened dialogue with Walker.
"I think Oregon is pretty close," said Walker. "I talked to Coach (John) Neal the other day. He came by the school. I'm talking with Cal coaches a lot, and Washington and Washington State have been by too. I'm talking with USC and UCLA too. Mainly the Pac-12 schools are the ones showing the new interest."
With eight offers and more interest coming, Walker doesn't plan to narrow things down for a while.
"I'm pretty neutral with everyone right now," said Walker. "I'll have a top five favorites by August."
Walker said that each school is recruiting him hard, with Oregon State and Arizona State especially standing out, and former teammates are also recruiting him for their schools.
"Boise State has Chaz (Anderson) and Lee (Hightower) recruiting me for them and Stanford has Kodi (Whitfield) telling me about them all the time," said Walker.
Walker said he plans to camp only in the Southland this summer, but would like to take all five of his visits this fall.
"I'm camping at USC and UCLA and maybe San Diego State," said Walker.
Walker took the SAT last Saturday and next Saturday, he and his Loyola teammates will take part in the L.A. Valley 7on7 Tournament.
Last fall, Walker had 43 tackles, seven pass breakups, 2.5 sacks and two interceptions, teaming opposite Anderson.
