"I've always liked UCLA a lot, that was my dream school growing up," Price said. "I went to their Junior Day and hung out with Larry Kerr, the new defensive coordinator the whole time. He showed me the new defense they would be using and how I would fit in. I really fell in love with the place and felt I would be a great fit in what they wanted to do.
"They'll be running the Tampa Buccaneers defense and want me as a between the tackles inside linebacker. They said they needed someone tough and physical who can make plays in the middle and that's my strength. When the offer came in the mail, I sat down and talked to my parents about what I should do. We all agreed UCLA was the place for me because it's close to home so if something happened where I needed to come home, I was right there. Also, I'll be majoring in Sports Medicine and UCLA has one of the best programs in the nation and like I said, it's a great school that I've followed for a long time and really like the new coaching staff there."
Price was brought up to the varsity at Western at the end of his freshman year and has started ever since. He was an All-CIF selection a year ago after totaling 135 tackles and three interceptions. He attended the SoCal Nike Camp where he clocked a 4.81 in the 40, 4.57 in the shuttle and jumped 30 inches in the vertical.
