Receiver Michiah Quick (6-0, 175), a 2014 prospect, already has a few verbal offers, and when it's all said and done, should have his pick from across the country.
"Quick is one of the most explosive kids I've ever coached," said Perry. "He's like Cliff Harris was with the ball in his hands, he could be a corner or a receiver, but he's a playmaker."
Quick is already taking the early attention in stride.
"It means a lot to have these offers already," said Quick. "When I told my family, they were proud of me. And now I'm stepping up, in how I act, how I play, how I carry myself. I appreciated all the offers and now I have a responsibility in how I am."
"I like Notre Dame a lot," said Quick. "It's a great school with a great tradition and they really seem to like me."
Quick knows that both sides of the ball offer him an opportunity at the next level, and he's open to either side.
"Wherever they put me, I'll play," said Quick. "Anyway I can get the ball in my hand, I want to make something happen."
With a little less than two years until he can sign with anyone, Quick doesn't see a need to rush any kind of decision, even with early offers.
"Of course, I have a lot of time to decide, so I want to take some unofficial visits and then some official visits and use all the time I need," said Quick.
