Mundt's performance came a day after he had one of the top SPARQ scores at the SPARQ combine in Oakland.
"I wanted to show that I could run and move at the combine, but the Nike camp was really good for me and I felt like I had a good performance there," said Mundt.
"Cal and Oregon State offered me last week," said Mundt. "My family and I always grew up as Cal fans, so that one meant a lot to me."
This week, Mundt said a number of other schools are expected to visit the school, including three from the Pac-12.
Mundt is starting to determine where he'll camp this summer, after having camped at Cal last summer.
"I'm taking an unofficial visit to Duke soon and I'm going to camp at Stanford and Oregon," said Mundt.
Despite growing up a Cal fan, Mundt said that it's a former Stanford tight end that he's modeled his game after.
"I really like Coby Fleener," said Mundt. "He's the player who I think I'm most similar too."
The Cardinal have been watching Mundt and he's got reciprocated interest in them.
"I went to a Stanford game last year and will go to their camp and one of my teammates (Craig Jones) is walking on there this year, so I've tagged along with him a little to check out Stanford more," said Mundt.
And Colorado has been one of the schools recruiting him the hardest.
"Colorado was the first school to offer me," said Mundt. "Coach (J.D.) Brookhart has come by the school to watch me and he and Coach (Jon) Embree both really like to use the tight end. I'm planning to take an unofficial visit out there too this summer."
Despite playing in a run-oriented offense, Mundt was a key part of Central Catholic's offense, and also contributed greatly on defense.
Mundt caught 17 passes for 314 yards and five touchdowns and added 45 tackles and 7.5 sacks as a junior.
But he said all of his attention is coming as a tight end.
"Most schools like my speed and agility and strength and that I'm pretty athletic, and they want to use me as a tight end," said Mundt.
Mundt said he doesn't have any immediate plans to commit.
"I think I'll wait until closer to Signing Day and probably take my visits," said Mundt.
Academically, he has a 3.85 and will take the SAT this Saturday.
