Judge Rules for Bruins

Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian linebacker Cameron Judge announced moments ago that he'll play his college ball nearby at UCLA.

"I just committed to UCLA," Judge said. "There are a lot of things that I liked about them. It's close to home, I like the academics, the campus is great, I like the environment and I like the new coaching staff a lot. Coach Klemm recruited me but I talk with Coach Mora a lot as well and like the LB coach, Jeff Ulbrich, a lot, he's a great guy as well."

Judge is a talented athlete with a nice skill set. He has a nice frame, is a big hitter, covers a lot of ground and plays with an edge. He has improved his overall athleticism and cover skills and is definitely one of the top ‘backers in the region.

"I have some good friends who go to UCLA and I've been there a few times and have a good comfort level with the school," Judge added. "I know the program has been down for a while but I like the direction things are going and I'm excited to be a part of helping to turn the program around."

Judge had over double digit scholarship offers but recently narrowed his list down to Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State and Utah in addition to the Bruins. He was the top linebacker at the recent NIKE Air Strike Passing Tournament in Dana Hills and is currently rated the No. 23 outside ‘backer in the nation.

Greg Biggins has been covering recruiting for over 15 years, covering the West since the mid-1990's and currently serves as a national analyst for Scout.com/FOXSportsNext.
