Price Recaps UCLA Camp

Long Beach (Calif.) Polytechnic safety David Price recaps his experience at Sunday's UCLA Skills Camp and discusses his Bruin family ties, summer visit plans, and more...

Long Beach (Calif.) Polytechnic safety David Price participated in Sunday's UCLA Skills Camp and left campus feeling positive about his performance.

"Camp went really well. I'm coming off of a little hamstring injury, so it was good being back. I felt good for it being my first time to actually be doing full drills, and I picked up a few things about my footwork out here," he said.

Though there were a large number of attendees at the camp, Price made sure to spend time with his position coach.

"I think I stood out well. The defensive backs coach, Demetrice Martin, wanted to see me doing a lot of drills and things like that, and I'm just hoping I get an offer," he said.

The 6'1", 205 lb. prospect has been looking at the Bruins for a while and says a few things stand out about the program.

"I like the Bruins a lot. I like Coach Martin, I like the campus, and I have a cousin who plays cornerback here, Sheldon Price. He tells me a lot about how things work with the school and the program, and I think I would fit in pretty well," he said.

One of Price's former Jackrabbit teammates, incoming Bruin cornerback Randall Goforth, has also been offering some advice.

"Randall just keeps telling me that I need to get off this season so I can play with him again next year. That would be really fun," he said.

Price holds offers from Arizona and Colorado and is planning on making a few trips over the summer to check out some of the programs that are still recruiting him.

"In addition to UCLA, I'm pretty much looking at USC, Arizona, Colorado, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, schools like that. I should be taking a visit to LSU over the summer. I might go out to Colorado an take an unofficial out there, and I'll probably take one to Arizona State," he said.
