"I feel like a lot of schools are concerned about my size being a problem," Sorenson said. "I know with UCLA, I'm close with Coach Klemm, the offensive line coach, and he told me some of the coaches are concerned and want to see me in person and see how I move. If I go to their camp, he said there's a good chance I'll get an offer.
"They had their lineman camp last week but I wasn't able to make it. I just heard they have another camp this Friday so I'm going to check my schedule and see if I can make it. UCLA is a good school and it would be great to have them as a local option so I'm going to see about that camp."
Sorenson recently took an unofficial visit to Washington State and had nothing but positive things to say about his time in Pullman.
"It was cool, I liked it there a lot," Sorenson said. "The campus was nice and I feel like the program is definitely on the rise with Mike Leach as the head coach. I like the OL coach, Coach McGuire and it's almost like having two OL coaches there because Coach Leach is so involved in the offensive line play.
"Right now, I'm not looking to make an early commitment. I think I'll narrow things down before the season and then take my visits. I think the visits could be very insightful to how the school is when you're a regular student there. I might take one more unofficial visit to Oregon because the coaches weren't there the last time I visited but that might be about it at this point."
