The New Dream for Judge

Four-star linebacker prospect Cameron Judge verbally committed to UCLA just a week ago. He participated at the Conejo Valley passing tournament over the weekend with his Oaks Christian team and took a few minutes to talk about his future as a Bruin...

Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian linebacker Cameron Judge didn't grow up with dreams of being a Bruin.

In fact he never actually thought he would go to UCLA.

That is, until his sophomore year of high school.

"I've been to the school a lot and just started to get a good feel for it and felt like it was the right place for me," Judge said.

Now the four-star prospect can't wait to be a Bruin.

"I go to the school pretty often," he explained. "I had a good feel for the school with the players and coaches. I feel like they're heading in the right direction with everything they're doing right now so I just feel like it was the right spot for me."

The 6'2", 215 lb. Judge is expecting to play inside or outside linebacker for the Bruins.

With his commitment now behind him, he says the added pressure of the recruitment process has now been lifted.

"It definitely takes a lot off just knowing I'm already set and have a plan made out, so I don't have to be in a last second frenzy to make a decision," he said. "I can just focus on my team at hand and try and accomplish the goals that we have set for this year."

Judge chose UCLA over Arizona, Utah, Boise State, and Arizona State.
