"I started off a little rusty the first few days but I just tried to come out real hard on every rep I took," Morris said. "I gave it my all out there and didn't want to embarrass myself on a national stage like this.
"I took a lot of reps because I didn't come out here to watch other players. I wanted to work hard for my coaches and I tried to soak up as much knowledge as I could from the coaches that were out here working with us."
On the recruiting front, Morris recently narrowed his choices down to Nebraska and UCLA and said he'll make his college choice this coming Thursday.
"I had Tennessee in there, too, but they filled up on offensive lineman," Morris said. "It's all good though because I kind of wanted to leave the state and I really like Nebraska and UCLA a lot right now.
"I haven't visited Nebraska before but they have great tradition and are known for producing a lot of great offensive linemen. I love the football program and I've talked with a lot of people about Nebraska and everyone has nothing but good things to say about the place."
Morris took a recent unofficial visit to UCLA and said he was wowed by what he saw.
"Man, let me start off by saying California is an incredible place," Morris said. "I kind of got out of my comfort zone by going all the way over there but I loved it. My face just blew up and I couldn't stop smiling the whole time.
"It was so bright and sunny and everyone was so nice and friendly. I've been talking to Coach Klemm for a while now, we talk almost every day and he's a great coach. The program seems like a big family and I just really felt comfortable there."
Morris will commit this week but said he still plans to take official visits in the fall.
"I'm going to commit this Thursday," Morris said. "We're doing something at our school and four or five of us are all going to make our decisions together. I'm still going to take all five of my visits and UCLA and Nebraska will for sure be two of them. I'm looking at Arkansas as a potential visit as well but the school I commit to is the one that I'm going to sign with."
