Falah is one of the nicest kids you'll ever meet and at times, the lineman almost plays too nice as well. Once he develops more of a mean streak on the field, his game will rise to another level. At the H.S level, he doesn't need it to dominate but at the college level, he'll definitely need to increase his nastiness.
The lineman showed great versatility taking reps at guard and tackle this past weekend and although he's a lot more comfortable playing tackle, he has the ability to play either spot in college.
"I had a great time out here and had a lot of fun," Falah said. "This was a big goal of mine, to make The Opening, and I really enjoyed it. I liked the competition and learned a lot from the coaches as well. It was fun to meet some of the other lineman as well and we all got along great so overall, it was a real fun experience."
Falah will make his decision on Wednesday between UCLA and USC. The Braves have started summer workouts and the plan is for the lineman to make the announcement following practice around 6:00 PM (PST).
"At first, when all the offers started to coming in, it was pretty surprising and unexpected," Falah said. "I was planning to go through the process but I knew I wanted to stay in Southern California so it came down to USC and UCLA. Then it became a real hard decision but I made up my mind a couple of weeks ago and I feel good about it.
"With USC, their tradition really stands out, they're all about football and I know I could reach my full potential there. Coach Cregg is a great coach and I know he can make me better. With UCLA, it's all about the staff. I have a very close relationship with Coach Mora and Klemm and they're not just coaches, they're like friends too and I have a cool time every time I go down there."
Falah said he still wants to go through the process after he commit.
"I still plan to take all my official visits after I make my decision," Falah said. "I want to visit all the California schools, USC, UCLA and California along with Oregon for sure. It's a free visit so why not check out the schools and see what else they have to offer. Whoever I commit to though will be my school, the visits would be for fun but my commitment will be a solid one."
