Long Beach Poly High School has become nationally known for their elite football program, which turns out talent like few others, and 2015 defensive back Iman Marshall is on track to be another big time recruit for the Jackrabbits.

Just a sophomore, Marshall plays with the confidence of a veteran, and showcased his enormous potential at 7-on-7 events this summer.

"Swag takes you a long way. My having the confidence that every play I can I stick whoever is out there," Marshall said. "No one can take me over the top. That's how you have to play."

At 6-0, 175 pounds, Marshall has a good combination of size and speed to match up well against bigger wide receivers. The young cornerback says he patterns his game after players like Patrick Peterson, and one day hopes to be on their level.

"I look at all of them, Patrick Peterson, Chase Minnifield, Tyrann Mathieu," Marshall explained. "I try to incorporate all their different strengths into my game."

Marshall has already shown enough with his play to garner an offer from UCLA.

"I'm very interested in them, most importantly because they are the first ones that had interest me as a player, and as a young prospect," Marshall said. "They see the potential in me and hopefully it turns out the best for them."

Marshall also has interest in a handful of other programs.

"I like all DB-type schools, USC, Florida State, LSU and Alabama," he explained. "The tradition is very rich at USC. If I get a chance to play there, I'd be very happy to play for them.

"I want to play against the top competition."
