"I'm not sure what we're going to do," said Allen. "It will depend on what kind of offers we get in the future. We'll sit down and talk about it after the summer."
Allen said the main schools recruiting him so far have been Rice, Northern Arizona, Santa Clara, Drake, most of the Ivy League schools, San Francisco, Wyoming and San Diego. He said each school has offered.
I asked Allen if there are any other schools involved in his recruitment.
When asked if there are any other schools he'd like to be hearing from, Allen replied, "I'm really happy with all of the schools that have been showing me interest, but the Pac-12 would be nice also."
I asked Allen what he's looking for in a school. "The education first and foremost," said Allen, whose mom went to Stanford. "The coaching staff is a huge piece of the puzzle. I'm going to be there for four years, so the staff and players that I can mix with are important."
Allen said he doesn't want to draw his recruitment out any longer than necessary.
"I don't want to wait it out," said Allen. "I will decide before the season starts."
When asked if early playing time is a big consideration, Allen replied, "It would be nice to contribute as a freshman, but it depends on the school."
Allen said he has a 4.8 GPA.
