Moore Almost Commits to UCLA

After considering making an early decision just a week ago, Fresno (Calif.) Central defensive back L.J. Moore has decided to take all his official visits...

L.J. Moore is one of the region's top cornerbacks and has the versatility to play just about anywhere in the secondary. There was some buzz that Moore could seal the deal last week but he decided to check out a few more schools.

"I was leaning to UCLA but I just didn't feel ready to make my decision," Moore said. "I wanted to see a few other schools, especially Notre Dame, before committing anywhere. I canceled a visit to Oklahoma and set up two others so I have four trips lined up right now.

"I have Notre Dame set for (Sept. 22), California (Oct. 6), Oregon State (Oct. 19) and UCLA (Nov. 2). My last trip will probably be to Arizona State but I don't have a date with them yet."

Moore said he's focusing on a handful of things before he makes his college choice.

"I'm looking for where I'll be comfortable, and where I'll have a chance to play early," Moore said. "I want to be comfortable with the players and coaches on the team and just the campus environment. I'm looking for a family atmosphere and a team that has a chance to win as well."
