Selden Discuss List of Six

Wayne Selden, the #12-ranked player in the nation for 2013, is now only considering six schools. He recently talked to about the remaining schools and his plan going forward...

Wayne Selden sliced his list of schools to six over the weekend.

A five-star guard out of Tilton (N.H.) School, Selden is now only considering Kansas, Ohio State, Florida, Missouri, UCLA and Syracuse.

Selden informed what he likes about each school involved.

Kansas: "I like Kansas because of a great coach in Bill Self, good winning tradition and a great offense and tempo."

Ohio State: "With Ohio State they have another great coach in Thad Matta. They run a NBA offense and they are great at developing players."

Florida: "[I like] Florida because of their great guard play and their up-tempo offense. Billy Donovan is a great coach that has won national championships."

Missouri: "Mizzou has a really fast paced style. They play offense and defense fast. I also have a few of my guys there that played with BABC and played at Tilton."

UCLA: "Ben Howland has done a great job of developing great guards over the past few years. He's had great guards like Russell Westbrook and Aaron Afflalo and they are a program on the up rise."

Syracuse: "Syracuse always has great guard play and it's a good place for big guards like myself and my boy Mike [Carter-Williams] goes there too."

Now that Selden has his list to a working number of schools, his plan is to begin setting up college visits.

"Probably start planning visits," he said about his next step. "I still don't know when I'm going to sign yet. I'm still going to discuss that with my family whether it'll be the fall or the late signing period."

Selden, who hasn't set up any official visit dates, said he hasn't taken any unofficial visits to the schools involved.

"I'm looking at player development, winning and a good family situation where I feel comfortable," he responded when asked about what he's looking for in a school.

Selden currently ranks as the No. 12 overall recruit in the 2013 recruiting class.
