Sacramento (Calif.) Sheldon small forward Dakarai Allen will step on the San Diego State campus Friday afternoon for a weekend long official visit.

This will be the first official visit for the 6-foot-6 and 165-pound target.

"I'm excited to just see the campus really," Allen said. "Just see if the campus is where I can myself being at."

SDSU head coach Steve Fisher and his staff has given Allen a great understanding of the program that the Northern California star feels he doesn't need to see anything more on the basketball side of things.

"I feel comfortable with them basketball wise just how Xavier [Thames] plays and how Chase [Tapley] plays," Allen said. "I know they are really developing guys so I'm not really worried about coaching."

While things look great for the Aztecs it doesn't sound like the 64th ranked prospect will be committing during his visit over the weekend as he is looking to set up visits to UCLA and Colorado.

The one question that has become a national topic is how much interest has UCLA actually been showing the four-star prospect?

"I wouldn't say they are recruiting me hard," Allen explained. "They text me a couple times and told me that they want me to visit in October. Ben Howland said he wants to do a home visit."

Allen also explained that UCLA being a big name school and having a prestigious history are the real pluses of the programs.

The lockdown defender does plan to commit before the start of the high school season.

While just a few colleges are on the wing's radar, only one school leads the way.

"San Diego State is still my number one," Allen said.
