UCLA Commit Gets Heavy Interest

Memphis (Tenn.) East offensive lineman Christian Morris, a UCLA commit, is still receiving heavy recruiting attention and landed an elite offer on Wednesday...

Christian Morris had a strong showing at The Opening in Oregon last July and it seemed like only a matter of time before his recruitment took off. He narrowed his choices to UCLA and Nebraska and committed to the Bruins without ever visiting the Husker campus.

"I'm still solid to UCLA and talk to Coach Klemm all the time," Morris said. "I'm definitely feeling UCLA but I always wanted to take my trips and I told them that before I committed and they're fine with that. I'm visiting UCLA when they take on USC in November and I can't wait to get out there again.

"I set up a visit with Nebraska for (Sept. 28) and they're still recruiting me really hard. That's a great program and it will be fun to watch them and UCLA play this weekend. I also just received an offer from Oklahoma Wednesday and that's a big time program for sure. I definitely want to visit there and hopefully I can set that up the next time I talk with them."

Morris is one of the nation's top tackle prospect with a very nice upside to him. He has a great frame, plus athleticism and competes. No one took more reps in the one on ones at The Opening than Morris and he could be just scratching the surface of how good he'll be down the road.
