Oaks Christian has been impressive in its three opening wins, while Chaminade has one of the biggest out-of-state wins, beating Arkansas' top team two weeks ago. The Lions are led by UCLA commit Cameron Judge at linebacker, who also doubles as a tight end, and 2014 quarterback Brandon Dawkins, one of the top passers in the region. UCLA has also offered 2015 athlete Darick Holmes and is keeping a close watch on 2015 offensive lineman Reno Rosene. Chaminade's top prospect includes three-star running back Terrell Newby and Colorado committed receiver Elijah Dunston.
Los Angeles (Calif.) Salesian vs. Pasadena (Calif.)
Salesian is one of the most loaded small-school programs in the Southland, with one BCS commit, two 2014 BCS prospects and one of the best quarterbacks in Southern Section. UCLA commit Jermaine Kelly, a cornerback/receiver who can do it all for the Mustangs, is one of their chief two-way threats. Getting him the ball will be pound-for-pound, the strongest armed quarterback in the West, Jihad Vercher, who had a huge game the last two weeks. The Mustangs also feature a pair of top 2014 prospects in Marquis Ware, who plays tight end and linebacker and is nearing double-digit offers as well as Jamardre Cobb, a two-way threat who also has a number of offers. Pasadena is led by Brandon Cox at quarterback committed to Arizona, but he's out for the game with an injury.
Fresno (Calif.) Central vs. Visalia (Calif.) El Diamante
The vaunted Fresno Central secondary is at full strength again, with the return of UCLA target Johnny Johnson last week. Central also features Bruin target in L.J. Moore at corner and Hatari Byrd, who committed to Oklahoma, but whom UCLA is still recruiting. The Tigers also feature a 2014 prospect with a UCLA offer, receiver Michiah Quick and three other underclassmen they're watching, safety Devon Brewer, defensive lineman Tashon Smallwood and running back Nick Wilson. El Diamante is the alma mater of UCLA lineman Greg Capella.
Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe vs. Sierra Vista (Ariz.) Buena
UCLA's newest commit, offensive lineman Kenny Lacy, and UCLA 2014 offer target Jalen Brown, one of the top receivers in the West, look to improve to 4-0 on the 2012 season.
San Clemente (Calif.) vs. Encinitas La Costa Canyon
One of UCLA's chief targets, Scott Quessenberry, and his La Costa Canyon team will host San Clemente, which has UCLA recruit (and Washington commit) Sean Harlow, in a game that UCLA offensive line coach Adrian Klemm is expected to be at.
Corona (Calif.) Centennial vs. Mission Hills (Calif.) Alemany
Centennial features two UCLA offerees, 2014 offensive lineman Viane Talamaivoa, the SoCal Nike Camp OL MVP, and 2013 offensive lineman Cameron Hunt, the NorCal Nike Camp OL MVP. Hunt is a Cal commit that UCLA is heavily pursuing. Alemany has USC commit Steven Mitchell.
Orange (Calif.) Lutheran vs. La Habra (Calif.)
Featuring UCLA commit John Lopez on the offensive line, the Lancers take on La Habra, and look to move to 4-0 on the year.
Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde at Las Vegas (Nev.)
Rancho Verde, led by UCLA target Poasi Moala (who's still committed to Washington) and four-star receiver Demorea Stringfellow, hit the road to play Las Vegas HS in Sin City.
