2014 Prospect Making Name

The Los Angeles (Calif.) Salesian athlete, Jamardre Cobb, is a 2014 prospect to watch from a school that UCLA is starting to recruit more and more...

Los Angeles (Calif.) Salesian linebacker Jamardre Cobb (6-2, 225), is another one of the Mustangs' talented juniors, in what could end up being a bumper crop for Salesian in the 2014 class.

Cobb and teammate Marquis Ware have a number of offers already, and more schools could be adding to Cobb's list.

"I've gotten offers from Washington State, Boise State, Colorado, Stanford and a few other schools are really interested," said Cobb.

Cobb has been to games at both USC and UCLA this year, and said he'd love to get offers from the two local schools.

"I've been to games at both SC and UCLA and I'd definitely be interested in them," said Cobb. "They're both close to home and I want to show my little brother I can play football and he can be like me."

Cobb plays running back too, and said he wouldn't mind playing offense in college, but defense is where he prefers.

"I want to play linebacker, that's where my heart is at but I'd be interested in being a power back," said Cobb.

Academically, Cobb has a 3.0 GPA and will take the SAT in the spring.
