Four Stand Out for Quessenberry

Encinitas (Calif.) Las Costa Canyon offensive lineman Scott Quessenberry has one visit locked in and is close to setting up two more trips, both in the Pac 12....

Scott Quessenberry is one of the elite lineman out West as well as one of the most versatile. He plays tackle for La Costa Canyon and worked out with the guards and centers at The Opening in Oregon last July. Quessenberry impressed so much at center, a new position for him, he was rated the top player at the position in the event and that's now where he wants to play in college.

On the recruiting front, Quessenberry has a short list of schools that he's currently looking at and is close on setting a few more official visits.

"Right now, I just have the visit to Nebraska when they host Michigan on (Oct. 27)," Quessenberry said. "I'm close to setting trips with California and Washington as well and those will definitely be during the season as well.

"I have a lot of interest in San Diego State and UCLA as well but don't think I'll need to do an official visit to either school since it's so close and I've seen both campuses already."

Quessenberry will play in the Under Armour All-American game but will likely make his decision prior to the game.

"It would be cool to do it there but I think I'll do it sooner." Quessenberry said. "Right now, I don't have a leader but my top four schools, in no order, are UCLA, Cal, SDSU and Nebraska. Right now, all the schools like me for center but I just want to play. I would rather play another position than play behind someone at center so we'll see how it goes."
