Early Offers for 2015 Post

Chase Jeter, the 6-8 post player from Las Vegas Bishop Gorman, one of the more promising prospects in the West Coast class of 2015, gives us an early look at his recruitment...

Chase Jeter, 6-8 SO PF Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman, is one of the top posts in the west for 2015. He's got a solid frame, with good ball skills and a nice feel for the game.

I spoke with Jeter recently and asked about the schools that he's been hearing from to date.

"UCLA, Arizona, Stanford, USC, Oregon State, Missouri and UNLV," said Jeter.

I asked Jeter if any schools have offered yet.

"My coach told me that UCLA and Missouri have offered," said Jeter.

When asked if he had a dream school growing up, Jeter replied, "I didn't really have a dream school, but my Dad went to UNLV."

Jeter talked a litte about the factors he will consider when picking a school.

"As long as I'm playing, the location doesn't really matter," said Jeter. "I'm just going to look at the overall program, the coaches and players. I want to go to a winning program."

I asked Jeter if he's given any thought to the timing of his decision.

"I definitely want to wait until my senior year," said Jeter. "I'm pretty positive of that."

Jeter said he has a 3.7 GPA.
