Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde took the lead and never looked back in Thursday night's 34-13 victory over Riverside (Calif.) JW North.

Offensive lineman Poasi Moala (6-5, 265), who faced JW North's Marcus Baugh for most of the night, held his place on the line. Moala, a UCLA commit, said he was set in his decision to commit to the Bruins, though Washington (where he was once committed) was still recruiting him hard.

Receiver Demorea Stringfellow (6-3, 215) didn't have the ball in his hands often, but impressed with his blocking and ability to read the field, saying after the game that "a complete receiver can both block and catch the ball." Stringfellow is sticking with his commitment to the Huskies and said he's continuing to talk up Washington to Moala.

Marcus Baugh (6-4, 230) committed to Ohio State at tight end, but on Thursday night, was only used intermittently in JW North's offense, as they prominently ran the ball. Baugh did have a couple of impressive catches in the limited series that he did play and also displayed his ability to punt, getting the ball into the red zone each time.
