Morris Ready for UCLA Visit

Memphis (Tenn.) East offensive lineman Christian Morris will make his second visit to Los Angeles this coming weekend when he heads to UCLA for an official visit...

Christian Morris took an unofficial visit to UCLA back in the summer and committed to the Bruins in early August. He maintained he still wanted to take his official visits and has already tripped to Nebraska. He'll take his second visit this weekend when the Bruins host crosstown rival USC.

"I can't wait to get out there," Morris said. "I loved my first visit and I'm really looking forward to spending the weekend there and seeing the game with SC. It should be a great atmosphere and a great game as well. It would be huge if UCLA can win this one and I definitely think they have a great shot."

Morris suffered a neck injury a few weeks ago but said he's recovery nicely.

"I'm not 100% yet but I'm getting better," Morris said. "It was kind of fluke thing, a teammate ran in to me and jarred my neck. I had to be taken off the field in a gurney and taken to the hospital so it was pretty scary but like I said, I'm doing better now so that's a good thing."

Morris said his commitment to UCLA remains solid but he plans to take a few more visits following this weekends' trip to Westwood.

"I'm good with UCLA but I still have some schools talking to me so I'm going to take a few more visits," Morris said. "I don't have any dates yet but I'm going to visit Oklahoma and Georgia as well.

"Georgia is one of the latest schools to offer me so I'm going to check them out. Right now, I'm just looking forward to seeing UCLA. I'm sure (offensive line) Coach (Adrian) Klemm is hoping this will be my last visit so we'll see how it goes and I know it's going to be a good time."
